A bench made from end-grain oak offcuts, designed and built in the studio. The end-grain surface reveals the annual growth rings of the timber, creating a rich, textural pattern unique to each piece. The form is simple and considered — the material does the work.

Built entirely by hand, the bench explores the relationship between craft, material honesty and architectural thinking. It sits equally well in a domestic interior or as a standalone object. A limited number have been made.
